Abstract

When you want to offer shared hosting for a database you have two options:
Create a VM / Container for every customer or use a single MariaDB instance but have separate databases for each customer. The first option has a big resource overhead limiting the total number of users, the second option brings lots of limitations to end users. What if one could have the benefits of both? Monty will present MariaDB’s solution to this problem, enabling SaaS providers to scale 100x on the same hardware.
