MariaDB Foundation welcomes Kamatera, a global cloud infrastructure provider, as its newest Silver Sponsor.

Kamatera provides scalable cloud servers and infrastructure across a worldwide network of data centres, giving developers and organisations control over where and how they run their applications. That flexibility makes it a natural environment for open-source technologies such as MariaDB, which users can deploy, configure and scale according to their own technical and geographic requirements.

As database users look for more autonomy in both software and infrastructure, this sponsorship brings the two together: MariaDB offers an independent, community-developed relational database, and Kamatera offers the flexible compute, networking and storage to run it on. 

Through the collaboration, MariaDB Foundation and Kamatera will develop practical resources for users running MariaDB in the cloud and explore ways to make deploying MariaDB on Kamatera easier to discover and understand.
