Solanica joins MariaDB Foundation as a Silver Sponsor
We are pleased to welcome Solanica, the company driving the development of OpenEverest, as a MariaDB Foundation Silver Sponsor.
OpenEverest is an open-source platform for deploying and managing databases on Kubernetes. Its recently added MariaDB support gives developers and platform teams another way to bring MariaDB into their infrastructure, with deployment, high availability, backups and recovery accessible through a common interface.
MariaDB in the Kubernetes ecosystem
For organisations running applications on Kubernetes, database support is an important part of their infrastructure choices. OpenEverest integrates with the open-source mariadb-operator to manage MariaDB, helping teams use familiar platform workflows to operate their databases.
This creates another entry point into the MariaDB ecosystem for users building on Kubernetes, whether in the cloud or on their own infrastructure.
“With OpenEverest becoming a de-facto standard to run databases on Kubernetes, it was inevitable that we add MariaDB into the list of supported databases. The MariaDB community is growing, and we’re proud to support it as a Silver Sponsor – bringing MariaDB to more Kubernetes teams through a familiar, open-source workflow.”, says Sergey Pronin, Founder of Solanica.
“Every new integration expands the possibilities for MariaDB users. We are happy to welcome Solanica as a Silver Sponsor and to see OpenEverest bringing MariaDB to more teams in the Kubernetes community,” says Anna Widenius, CEO of MariaDB Foundation.
MariaDB Foundation brings together organisations that develop, use and support MariaDB across a wide range of environments. Solanica adds valuable experience in open-source database platforms and Kubernetes to this growing community.
Thank you, Solanica, for supporting MariaDB Foundation!
