In this talk, I will be covering the current state of MariaDB contributions, along with what MariaDB’s current contribution process is. I’ll then be comparing this to the processes used by other open source projects and will be showing potential ways in which we could make the development process more open.
Andrew (LinuxJedi) Hutchings is the Chief Contributions Officer for the MariaDB Foundation.
Andrew has a long history in the open source database world but has occasionally dipped into other technology industries, whilst keeping to his open source routes. He brings all of this experience to the MariaDB Foundation, where he works on making the contributions process as smooth as possible.
Andrew the UK countryside. In his spare time he restores and designs new hardware for retro computers.
