Abstract
As MariaDB is an open source project, there are many contributions from third parties made for to it.
In this talk, Andrew Hutchings will cover the state of contributions over 2023. The topics covered will be:
- New metrics gathering
- New contributors
- Interesting takeaways from the metrics
- Improvements for 2024
Andrew (LinuxJedi) Hutchings is the Chief Contributions Officer for the MariaDB Foundation
Andrew has a long history in the open source database world but has occasionally dipped into other technology industries, whilst keeping to his open source routes.
He brings all of this experience to the MariaDB Foundation, where he works on making the contributions process as smooth as possible.
Andrew the UK countryside. In his spare time he restores and designs new hardware for retro computers.
