The Acronis Database Architects team, recently recognized as a MariaDB contributor, is poised to present a short overview of their transition experience from Percona to MariaDB and also share the list of recent and upcoming improvements to the MariaDB ecosystem

25+ years in cloud software industry. Started career as Linux Kernel developer in 1998, and then driving different technological innovations in Virtuozzo, Parallels, Odin (now Ingram, Cloud Blue) and Acronis.
Has a solid hands-on experience in the Linux Kernel, Hypervisors, Storage subsystems, Databases, Cloud services architecture focusing on APIs, application security, scalability and performance

With 20 years of Information Technology experience, began as an application developer but swiftly moved to specializing in databases — a critical component in building complex, data intensive systems.
Experienced in building highly scalable and highly available systems, implementing zero downtime migration processes, designing applications and database schemas, and creating complex reports and ETL processes.
