Abstract

Our customers like the fact that once logged in to control panel they can use all their databases without further authentication. For offering MariaDB as new default dbms on our platform this feature was a huge obstacle. With the help of a custom authentication plugin provided by MariaDB we were able to easily overcome it and implement MariaDB as our main dbms, replacing MySQL more and more. This talk will provide some insights on our implementation and show everybody else can benefit from it.
