    debian packages for 10.1.27 will not start galera cluster, no error messages, nothing.
    downgrading to 10.1.26 fixes this.

      I suggest reporting as a bug – but take a look at https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-13908 to see if this is related.
