Live Q&A for New MariaDB Contributors

MariaDB is pleased to announce that we have a dedicated time each week when we answer new contributor questions live on Zulip and IRC.
From 8:00 to 10:00 UTC on Mondays, and 10:00 to 12:00 UTC on Thursdays, anyone can ask any questions they’d like, and a live developer will be available to assist.

    I am facing a problem using the ODBC driver for Maria DB. All datatypes come across as strings. For example. a field defined as BigInt shows up as s string of length 6.

    Am I doing something wrongs?

    I am using MariaDB on Windows.
    Sometimes, an error message appeared.
    The message is “Mysql error : Can’t connect to MySQL server on ‘’ (10055)”.

    Please help me.
