Abstract

Do you know about MariaDB’s ANALYZE for statements feature? It is a must if you need to analyze the performance of complex queries. It is very easy to use. This talk will give a lightning-fast introduction to the feature and show how one can quickly use it to pinpoint query performance problems. At the end of the talk we’ll compare with MySQL’s EXPLAIN ANALYZE feature, which was introduced last year.

Presenter

Sergei Petrunia is query optimizer developer at MariaDB Corporation. He has implemented the ANALYZE feature in MariaDB, and contributed to Optimizer Trace, Window Functions, subquery optimizations, and other query optimizer features.
