Thanks, and enjoy MariaDB!
Hi, I’m using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and got a quick question:
Is the MariaDB 10.0 repository on mariadb.org suitable for production env?
Will security updates be offered?
Will it upgrade frequently?
Thanks in advance!
Best,
Hiweed
Yes, of course. We plan to release new 10.0 version every month — with bug fixes and security updates. If a serious security flaw will be discovered we will release a fixed version at once, within few days or hours.
Thanks a lot for your prompt reply!
I’m planning to use mariadb-galera-server-10.0. It seems that the galera serials update slower.
Just to confirm that ,mariadb-galera-server-10.0 related packages will also be updated as you said.
Thanks again.
I’m getting confused. We’re using MariaDB 5.5 series instead of 10.0, because it stated as development version and not stable version. So this means from now on MariaDB 10.0 is the stable version for production and 5.5 series is only for legacy support?
